Please forward this e-mail to Bruce Snyder, President of Domestic Distribution. Please screen the Director's Cut of Kingdom of Heaven in major markets nationwide. The theatrical version I saw lacked many scenes, characters, and plot development alluded to by the movie's trailers. I've read several glowing reviews from critics who have seen the Director's Cut. Their reviews confirm my suspicions -- I bought a ticket, I watched the movie, but it wasn't the movie 20th Century Fox advertised! I will gladly pay to see the movie the way it was meant to be if you show the Director's Cut in a major city nearby.
If it is impossible for 20th Century Fox to widen the release of the Director's Cut, please make it available for purchase as a DVD immediately. Thank you!

If you have bought the DVD you may want to inform them of that as well as in -

I bought the DVD that has been released, but again, it was not the movie as advertised. I will gladly buy the DVD of the Director's cut.
Thank you!
Thank you for the ideas for the e-mail to be sent to Fox. I already sent them one.
I have used your basic format and sent my letter.
Thank you for providing hte space for this to happen
As a fan of KOH who saw it multiple times, I was longing for a prequel. Now I discover that "the rest of the story" was there all along but was edited out of the theatrical release. Please, please let us see the whole movie as it should have unfolded. Reserve the mysterires for "Lost."
Thank you!
As a person who saw the director's version, I am enraged at how FOX butchered this masterpiece. I could NOT believe how different the director's version was from the theatrical one. Every single cast member worked SO hard, and for what?! For their wonderful performances to be butchered and torn to pieces like a piece of paper? FOX seriously needs to apologize to everyone involved, especially Orlando Bloom, because he is the one who got blamed for the "less-than-spectacular" domestic box office number. But how can one deliever a wonderful performance, when half of his performance is hacked away thrown into the garbage? Had the FOX had the nerve to release the director's version, we will all be here talking about KOH's Best Picture nomination, and even possibly Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor. UGH! It makes me so mad that we the moviegoers were cheated out of this wonderful movie, just because FOX thought it would be OK to play with the intelligence of the audience. One thing is for sure. I will NEVER be able to see a FOX movie the same way again. FOX, wake up and do some serious damage control. You owe it to Ridely and the entire cast and crew of Kingdom of Heaven.
Thank you so much for making it possible to tell FOX what we think. I saw KOH twice in theaters and have only rented the DVD while waiting for the extended cut. I'm so mad at FOX I can't even describe it! I've heard so many wonderful things about the real version of the movie, it's depressing that it wasn't released in May. Most of all, I hate the way this choice by the studio so hurt Orlando Bloom. I can't believe the blame was placed on his shoulders, when half of his performance was cut out to leave room for expensive battle scenes. FOX should never have done what they did, and I hope reading everyone's comments shows them what they need to do. They destroyed this film, insulted their audience, and took away my business (unless they have enough humility to release the director's cut) It's very encouraging to read people's support here, thanks a lot!
I have sent an e-mail to Fox using your text. Thank you for starting this site so the fans have somewhere to express their disapointment in the action taken by FOX, as well as the hope for a director's cut dvd.
Done! Hope they'll read it!!
Hope they'll do it!
Thank you for keeping us updated!
I just emailed Fox Movies, hope they will release the real KOH. I also told them they owed Orlando an apology as he unjustly took the blame for the lack of the movies' success, when he did just a marvelous job in what was on the screen.
Let's hope they take care of this soon!
I'm curious, has Fox had the courtesy to e-mail any of us back, with any kind of response? I know I've not received anything.
Red, that's a good question. Actually, I wouldn't expect a reply e-mail from Fox. What I'd really like to see would be an announcement from them that they're going to run the Director's Cut in theaters. Or at least get it out on DVD in stores NOW.
Well they should send a reply! This is why the movie industry is in the situation it is in. They have no concept of customer service. No, No! Don't laugh. We the movie goers, are customers. We plop down money to see a product they packaged, advertised, and marketed to us. We did not get what Fox advertised and have spoken up about it. Now, are we going to accept that our consumer dollars don't warrant a response from the studio we have complained to? Just because we are dealing with Hollywood does that mean the studio is not accountable to their customers?
In any other business, if your customers take the time and effort to complain or take issue with you or your product, you respond. At least you do if you care about your customers and want them to continue to do business with you. If Hollywood intends to survive they need to learn this lesson.
